With over 50 years in the seafood industry, Vincent Piazza, Jr. had a vision for a wholesale seafood company that not only processed, but also distributed directly to the end user, therefore allowing both price and quality advantages over middleman competitors. In 1988, in response to his vision, he established the family-owned and operated Vincent Piazza, Jr. & Sons Seafood, Inc. in the Harahan industrial area of Greater New Orleans, Louisiana.
Starting with just one delivery truck and 3 employees, Vincent Piazza Jr. and Sons Seafood has since expanded to 10 delivery/distribution vehicles, 50 employees, and 24,000 square feet of commercial space dedicated to daily operations. The company attributes all success to its ability to meet volatile market demands, consistent quality of its products and services, customer loyalty, and employee dedication.
Specializing in processing fresh shrimp and fin fish, Vincent Piazza Jr. and Sons Seafood packs under the "Papa Piazza", "Tri-Dragon", "Lucky Star", and "Papa's Fresh Catch" brands. With state of the art machinery, our plant can process over 20,000 lbs. of head-on, headless, and peeled shrimp while our fish cutting facilities can process over 5,000 lbs. of fresh fish fillets daily. Our storage facilities can store over 1 million pounds of product on site, which allows for better inventory control and more accurate distribution. Our seafood originates from the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, as well as from international lines. In addition to a wide selection of over 1,000 different fresh and frozen seafood items, our company offers a variety of specialty seasonings and meats.
